Getting To BioSound From Seattle

Quick, relaxing, and simple — choose the option that fits you: walk-on via the King County Water Taxi or drive-on via the Fauntleroy Vashon ferry. 

Shuttle service to BioSound is available by request from the North Ferry Dock (see shuttle note below).

OPTION 1 — King County Water Taxi (Best for pedestrians)
Fast, scenic, and convenient for people coming from downtown Seattle. The Water Taxi runs Pier 50 (Seattle) ⇄ Vashon (walk-on, no vehicles).
• From Seattle: Board the King County Water Taxi at Pier 50 (near the downtown waterfront). Crossing time to Vashon is about 20–25 minutes.
• At Vashon: Follow signs to the Vashon ferry landing and the North Ferry Dock area. If you need assistance, BioSound can arrange a shuttle pickup from the North Ferry Dock by request (see contact below).
• Tip: The Water Taxi schedule varies weekdays vs. weekends — check the current schedule before you go.

OPTION 2 — Washington State Ferries (Best if you’re driving)
Drive from Seattle to Fauntleroy in West Seattle, then take the Fauntleroy → Vashon ferry (cars allowed). The crossing usually takes about 20–25 minutes.
• From Seattle: Drive to the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal (West Seattle). Follow signs for the Fauntleroy terminal and vehicle queueing.
• On Vashon: The ferry docks at Vashon Island’s vehicle terminal. From there, it’s a short drive to BioSound.
• Parking note: Vashon ferry terminals have limited parking — arrive early on busy days and check local parking advisories.

• Check schedules before you travel — both King County Water Taxi and WSF publish daily/seasonal schedules and occasional service alerts.
• Shuttle service: available by request only from the North Ferry Dock — call BioSound when you know your arrival time and they’ll confirm pickup. (Shuttle is limited to North Ferry Dock pick-ups.)
• Plan extra time on busy weekends and holidays; ferry boarding and vehicle lines can add 20–40 minutes during peak periods.
